If no data cable is available to connect the PCC in the POS-building and the SDU in the sign, then Radio Frequency (RF) devices can be used instead. Therefore, at least two RF devices must be installed, one connected to the PCC in the technical room and the other one connected to the SDU in the sign. Since one PCC is capable of handling multiple signs, more then two RF devices might be needed. Therefore, difference is made between

• a RF device connected to the PCC (referred to as RFP)
• a RF device connected to a Sign (referred to as RFS).

Both RPF and RFS devices work together, but can be ordered separately.
